What to expect
Study details
Ages
18 - 75 years of age
Duration
Up to 47 weeks and includes; up to 35 days of screening, 36 weeks of treatment and a follow up 43 days after the last dose
Compensation
Participants will be reimbursed for reasonable study-related travel expenses
Eligibility Criteria
To join this study, here’s what we’re looking for:
- You need to be 18 - 75 years of age.
- Have a BMI of 30 or higher, OR
- Have a BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related health condition diagnosed, such as:
High blood pressure / Hypertension
High cholesterol / Dyslipidaemia
Sleep apnea (a condition that affects breathing during sleep).
- You should be in generally good health.
Other exclusion criteria will apply.

Overweight and obesity are complex health conditions that can be caused by several factors such as genetics, environment, hormones, or other medical conditions.
Today, nearly one-third of people worldwide are affected by obesity, with rates having doubled since 1980. While weight loss can improve health risks, achieving and maintaining it through lifestyle changes alone is often challenging.
Bariatric surgery is currently the most effective option for long-term weight loss and health improvement, but it’s invasive and suitable for only a small group of people. Medications, when combined with healthy habits, can help, but may not fully address obesity-related health concerns.
