Are you overweight or living with obesity? Momentum Clinical Research is conducting a clinical research study exploring a potential new treatment designed to support weight loss.

Ages
18 years or older
Duration
The study duration is up to 110 weeks. This includes a 68-week main treatment period, a 36-week extension period to see how weight loss is maintained, and a final 4-week safety follow-up.
Compensation
Participants will be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses
Eligibility Criteria
You may be suitable for this study if you:
- Are aged 18 years or older
- Have a BMI of 30 or higher, OR a BMI of 27 or higher with a weight-related health condition (e.g., high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnoea, joint pain)
- Have had a stable weight for at least 3 months
- Have tried to lose weight in the past without success
- Have no history of Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes
- Have not used weight loss or injectable medications such as Ozempic or Wegovy in the last 3 months
Other criteria will apply.

Description
Overweight and obesity are complex, long-term health conditions caused by a mix of genetics, environment, and lifestyle. They affect billions of people worldwide and increase the risk of other serious health issues like heart disease and joint pain. While losing weight can improve these risks, keeping the weight off through lifestyle adjustments alone is often very difficult.
This study is looking at a new investigational medicine which is given as a weekly injection under the skin. It works like a natural hormone in the body that helps control the participants's appetite and makes them feel full. The main goal of this study is to see if this treatment safely and effectively helps people lose body weight and maintain that weight loss over a longer period.
What to expect
Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. Two groups will receive different doses of the active investigational medicine, and one group will receive a placebo injection (which contains no active medicine). This is a double-blind study, meaning neither you nor the study team will know which injection you are receiving.
You will visit the clinic regularly for study-related health check-ups, which include weight measurements, physical exams, blood tests, and heart tracings (ECGs). Your safety and wellbeing will be closely watched by our expert medical team throughout the study.
As part of the study, participants will receive lifestyle guidance on healthy eating and physical activity from a dietitian or qualified study team member.
