Description

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is characterised by a persistent elevation of pressure in the blood vessels.

Despite widespread availability of treatments, many adults still have difficulty controlling their blood pressure. Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to many complications including heart attacks, stroke, heart failure, and kidney problems.

What to expect

Here at Momentum we are studying an investigational medication intended to reduce blood pressure in adults with high risk of heart disease and hypertension that is not adequately controlled by current medications.

The aim of the study is to determine how effective the new medication is in lowering the blood pressure of participants over three months of treatment compared to a placebo.
